Taking your photograph or supplied art, we will use a computer-driven printer to create fabulous images on a plaque that not only adds a delicious splash of color, but full-blown illustrations that inform, identify and add an upscale sense of style. The paint we use is UV-cured, solvent-free, rigid ink. Once applied to the plaque, the entire piece is powdercoated with a clear topcoat for maximum abrasion resistance and weatherability.

Created from 1/8" thick high-grade 5052 aluminum, these exquisite plaques and markers are solid metal through and through, and can be manufactured with integral ADA-compliant braille.

We can cast ADA signs in our standard size (6" x 8") for typical uses, or we can custom-design a sign for your specific needs.

Room numbers, fire escapes, restrooms… Let’s face it; Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) signs are everywhere you look. While there’s no denying these signs are helpful to those in society who need assistance, they also represent an opportunity to increase your business. And, while ADA regulations don’t leave much wiggle room on most design elements, standard ADA signs from Metallic Arts are crafted to meet those guidelines.

For stock plaques, the standard size is 6” x 8” x .25” with Helvetica lettering raised .05” from the background and Grade 2 Braille raised .031”. California Braille is also available. Alternate type styles may be specified on custom ADA signs, but restrictions on styles do apply in meeting ADA specifications. All symbols depicted on ADA signs from Metallic Arts meet standards approved by the Department of Transportation.

Unlike other Braille methods that use separate acrylic or stainless steel beads, our Braille is part of the plaque component so there’s never a worry about the Braille symbols coming loose or falling off. All raised lettering, symbols and borders come with a brushed satin finish. The Braille is painted to match the background. If specified, raised areas can be painted with a color that contrasts with the background. Standard borders are 1/8” wide raised single lines with radius corners. Custom border styles and corners can be specified upon request.
